I am enough.....

Happy Friday!!!!

This week for All About Scrapbooks I again had a play with Cocoa Vanilla's Love Always Collection.
Such a stunning range.
This is my third layout using this range.

The die cut ephemera pack has so many lovely flowers in it.
I especially love the silhouette style ones.
Gorgeous!

I began by adding gesso to my cardstock, and then adding some acrylic paint.
I wanted to create an ombre effect, so I did this by just adding a bit more white to my paint, as I moved across the page.

I love the greens and corals in this range, so they are the colours I focused on.

I added some flicks of coral paint, and then began to layer up  a few strips of patterned paper.
I added the flowers on top of these strips, using foam tape for some to create extra dimension.

I then simply added my title to the left hand side and my journaling to the right hand side.

I love journaling on my layouts.
Giving a voice to your beautiful pieces of art that you spent hours on is so important.
When I journal on my layouts, I tend to just write from the heart.
I don't do a rough draught, I just let the words flow.
For me, I think that is the key - don't overthink it, just let the words fall onto the page.
It's very therapeutic.

I'll be back again soon!

Hello Happy Place....

Well it's Friday already, which means it's my turn to share over at All About Scrapbooks.

Today I have a layout created with a bit from here and a bit from there!
I often do that......
It starts with whatever leftovers are on my desk, and pretty much builds from there.

This week I had 2 papers on my desk which I hadn't used when I had used Kaisercraft's Boho Dreams Range.
The black and white stripe is my fave from that range, but as I had gone with a softer, muted layout, I hadn't used it.
Also I had quite a lot of the black and white feather paper left, and I was itching to cut some of those feathers out.

I knew with the bold blacks and whites I wanted to go bold! And I wanted to go colour!
So I gathered my Dylusions Ink Sprays - the colours are gorgeously bright!

I began by spritzing my page, and letting it run a little down the page. I purposely kept it to one side of my paper, knowing this was where I would add my photo.

I then cut out some feathers.
I dug out lots of 2 Crafty Chipboard for this one - the dreamcatcher, a feather, my title and my small word.  I coated these with gesso, before painting them in Dylusions Paint, and adding Dylusions Ink Spray too!!
I wish I'd thought to take a photo of my hands!! Oh they looked awesome!
Such messy fun!

After this I went through all my leftover embellishments, hunting for bold and bright colours.
I found heaps!!
I added these behind my photo.

I then added the chipboard and feathers, to the page.
I really wanted them to look like they were trailing down my page - kinda like a dreamcatcher.

I just LOVE THIS page!
I love the subject matter (my scrap space, complete with wine glass! LOL)
I'm so happy with how it turned out.

I love mixing ranges.....you never quite know what you are gonna get!

Cherish ....more Cocoa Vanilla

Hi Everyone

Todays layout for All About Scrapbooks is created using more of the Cocoa Vanilla Love Always Collection.

For this layout, I focused on the greys and mints in the collection.
I really wanted this layout to have lots of negative space as I loved the background paper.

So my focus was to just work in one corner.
Oh it's a challenge to be so restrained!!

I swiped some gesso in the top right corner, where I wanted my photo to be.
I then flicked some greys and mint paint.
I then added all the mint and grey embellishments I could find, and began layering.
Aren't those die cut leaves just stunning!

I love the butterflies.
I wanted them to surround my photo, so I added a 2Crafty Chipboard Frame to enhance this.

I then added the gorgeous title, painting it black, and then adding a touch of silver to it.

I love the softness of the layout.
I usually scrap with bold colours mixed with black and white, so this one was a big change for me.

I'll be back next week.

You had me at Hello....

Hi everyone!

I'm a big Cocoa Vanilla Studio fan, so couldn't wait to play, and I haven't scrapped a photo of my gorgeous man for ages, so this range was just perfect!

I usually steer towards bright, bold colours, so really enjoyed all the soft pastels in this range.
I love the little pops of black and white, and I love grey, so I went with these colours, adding a splash of pale pink.

I started with white bazzill and swiped it with a light coat of gesso.
I then added some acrylic paint, making sure I had lots of water on the page, to create a soft look.
I love how it dried with both dark and light patches.
I also flicked some paint around too.

I cut out some strips of  papers, adding these to my page.
I then added my photo and a few embellishments from the Ephemera Die Cuts and Stickers.
I cut the title from paper, and finished it all off with a gorgeous 2Crafty Chipboard Heart Frame.

I'll be back next week with another share.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Kit the Habit - Brave Warrior!

Hi everyone

I'm back to share another layout, as promised!

A fun, bright and colourful one.

This 'Wild' Kit by Kit the Habit is just so fun!
The last layout I shared,  I went with the Tribal theme.
This time I took inspiration from the Bohemian feel.  This layout is all about finding your inner wild and being free and true to yourself.

Perfect for my teenage daughter. Gorgeous girl.

I swiped some paint over my cardstock in a fairly random fashion.
I then added a strip of paper, and lots of layers in the bright tones.

I just love those beads and also the handmade feathers with beads.  These reminded me of a dreamcatcher, so I decided to make my own on the page.

I then added some random quotes that suited the page, and finished it off with some flicks of paint.

Here's another look at the 'Wild' kit........

Every time I see it, it makes me smile.

There are so many memories captured in each of these Kits.
You see Emma (Emzascrapper) and I gather inspiration from different textures we come across in our life......this one for me features my Gramps home, time spent at Port Lincoln at Escape 2 Create, and my boy's cubby.

I hope you love the kits as much as we do.  For us, they hold a special place in our heart.....they are filled with our lives, our moments - basically they are 'US' on a plate, or in a Kit.
It's important to us to include 'real' sayings - things our kids say all the time.  Snippets of our everyday life.  We love sharing them with you (we are just a little bit thrilled that they go to every state across Australia).
We love seeing our products pop up on your layouts, so don't forget to share them with us in our Facebook group.

There are still some of these kits available HERE.  Just type sold in the comments underneath a photo of the kit and we will be in touch.

Happy scrapping everyone.....go WILD!

Scrap the Girls October Release!

Hi everyone

Well it's the first of the month so time to share the NEW Challenge from Scrap the Girls.

As always, its beautiful.
See?!?

I adore the colours, although they really challenged me as I rarely use purple.
Here's what I came up with:

I was inspired by the colours, by the word Inspire and by the feathers!!
I had a lot of fun layering up those feathers,
I only added a splash of purple, but I'm really pleased with it.

Love that mint/aqua paint!!!

This month there's a $25 Colourblast voucher up for grabs!

So give it a go......you gotta be in it to win it - the worst that can happen is you will create a beautiful layout!

Don't forget to check out the rest of the amazing layouts over at Scrap the Girls!
They're amazing!!
